| Examining andesite lavas near Wormit. Lava is exposed on the west side of buried glacial valley which is 60 feet deep below car on shore road. Valley was formed by flow of ice south-eastward from main Tay valley glacier, and it is now sand and gravel filled on a lava valley floor. Excursion to Wormit and District. 27th April 1968. | |
