| Conveyor belt from esker gravel pit to North Straiton. North Straiton Plateau, 120 to 130 feet above sea level in background. Plateau in this area were probably "holes" in the ice, intervening low areas being filled with ice. Plateau top was sea level at the time and the land surface has since been raised by isostatic re-adjustment. Excursion to Wormit and District. 27th April 1968. | |
